Rainshaker invites you to embrace the outdoors and help support a better way to buy gear made from recycled tents and other products that would have ended up in landfill. We're crafting sustainable, durable designs from old heavy duty canvas and PVC fabrics with intent to bring comfort and strong quality to the modern market, this is with a purpose to adapt to sustainable practices in as many ways possible. The Rainshaker, unique by its similarity to a traditional oilskin but adaptive to a modern day lifestyle of work and play. Made from a beeswaxed canvas, lined with a cotton fleece and fastened with coil metal zippers and snap-lock press studs. Featuring dual cuffs with a skintight elastic inner cuff, double side pockets and a trench coat extension which has its own pocket inside the jacket. The vision for this design came from having a collection of jackets for different occasions and lacking one that would suit them all. This is an outcome of trial and error to produce a jacket that will withstand time and be made to a professional and durable standard considering the impact this product will have on our planet

Made from an old heavy duty 12oz cotton canvas tent and refurbished and waxed with a beeswax reproofer. This bag features metal D ring fasteners also refurbished and is designed to utilize your storage needs and to keep whats inside bone dry. It has the unique dry bag design and has two different ways to fasten the strap. There isn’t anything complicated about this product, its simply built to last the test of time.

Made from heavy duty 16oz canvas from up-cycling exterior blinds, the pod bag has been designed to attach itself to various surfaces and create a compartment in spaces that would otherwise be wasted! fastened with heavy duty hook and loop velcro sourced from a local supplier in Melbourne and also featuring a genuine leather label, made in house.

These designs have been produced through recycled army grade canvas. We have washed and re-conditioned with a 100% natural Artisan’s Son beeswax re-proofer. Like all our designs this dog coat has been hand made on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne and created to be a highly durable design to last another lifetime.

Another item from our recycled range this dry bag is perfect for storing things like dog food! its fully waterproof and can take some serious weight. Made from recycling 16oz army grade canvas washed and reproofed this bag features a brass metal buckle and cotton webbing. The lining consists of recycled tent walls which also act as another insulating and waterproofing layer. This product only gets better with age and will look after whatever goods you need to stay safe.

To this date Rainshaker has stopped approximately 459kg of co2 from entering out into world. We have saved approximately 250kg of canvas products from ending up at the tip and in the ground. This weight of textile waste would create close to 125kg of carbon, once decomposed or burnt 1kg of carbon can create about 3.67kg of co2. Through your support, we have been able to continue in helping reduce textile waste and bring a unique and durable new design to life.
